Analysis

Define evidence before implementation

For each initiative, record the required documents, accountable owner, source system and review date before activity begins.

Review close to the transaction

Documents are easier to correct while the activity is current. Waiting until verification often means signatures, attendance confirmations or supplier records are harder to obtain.

Close the file monthly

A monthly file review should identify complete claims, unresolved dependencies and claims that should be excluded from the forecast until support exists.

How to read this insight

No chart is used because no authoritative public dataset was identified that directly supports a monthly evidence-readiness trend.

A verification file is a management control. It should mature throughout the year, not appear at the end of it.

Sources and measurement basis

This insight draws on official publications identified below. Figures retain the definitions, reporting periods and limitations of their original sources.

No authoritative public dataset was identified that directly quantifies the issue discussed in this article. The article is analytical rather than statistical.
